Iran Borrows Obama's 'Yes We Can' Slogan To Promote Huge Military Parade

Iran is to stage a huge military parade on September 21 under the same ‘Yes We Can’ slogan made famous by Barack Obama in his 2008 presidential election campaign.
The parade will be held in the capital Tehran and the southern port city of Bandar Abbas as part of what is known as Sacred Defense Week.
Details of the parade were announced by Brigadier General Ramezan Sharif, a spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp. (IRGC), on September 14. In remarks reported by the official Mehr news agency, he said the parade will include personnel from the IRGC, as well as the regular army, navy and air force, the police and the Basij militia.
“The parade, for the very first time, will be staged in Tehran and Bandar Abbas simultaneously and its central slogan is ‘Yes We Can’,” he said.
